Claiborne Parish Louisiana is hosting the Louisiana Legends Festival on Saturday, October 30, 2021. The festival will cover an eleven-block area centered by the beautiful and historic Claiborne Parish Courthouse. The festival is a day packed with entertainment, activities, food, and shopping, beginning at 9:00 AM and ending at 4:00 PM.

The entertainment features scheduled acts on two stages. Festival goers will be able to simply move between the two stages and enjoy every musical act. The Gibsland Bank Gospel Stage will host Chasing Lions, Shane Huffstetler, Tim Critenden, Roshada Thompson, and Norah Banks and the Palmers. The Fibrebond Main Stage will host Brett Traylor, Dorsey Summerfield, Louisiana Swamp Donky, Robert Finley, and Bobby Rush.

The festival area includes eight different courts each representing the history, people, business, and natural resources of Claiborne Parish. The Claiborne Medical Center Healthcare Court will focus on the outstanding healthcare options. The Dowies Outdoor Recreation Court will focus on fun and business around the area lakes, streams, and hunting areas. Other Courts will focus on Food, Arts & Crafts, Farmer’s Market, History, and even a Kid’s Korner. All of this within easy walking distance.

In recognition of his talent, perseverance, his patience, and his influence, the Louisiana Legends Festival, will be honoring Bobby Rush as a Louisiana Legend. Mr. Rush will be honored at the Louisiana Legends Festival, Saturday, October 30, 2021, in downtown Homer, Louisiana.
