New organization will focus on providing resources in the areas of education, training, accountability, and advocacy
BATON ROUGE, LOUISIANA - Louisiana Association of Nonprofit Organizations is now Louisiana Alliance for Nonprofits, a new organization focused on providing resources in the areas of education, training, accountability, and advocacy for the nonprofit sector.
Louisiana is home to a growing nonprofit sector. In most communities, nonprofit organizations often fill the gap between resources and the citizens who need them. Education and information are the keys to building and sustaining a successful nonprofit sector.
“We know that nonprofits are more effective working collaboratively with other sectors including business and government and we can accomplish more collectively than we can independently,” said Alliance Executive Director, Jill Roshto.
The Alliance will serve as a centralized resource hub for Louisiana’s nonprofits providing information, education and training in the core competencies of financial management, human resources, disaster preparedness, governance, diversity, equity and inclusion and more.
