PRESS RELEASE:

WALKER, LA — The American Subcontractors Association of Greater Baton Rouge has announced their event, Bridging the Gap Expo. The event will take place on Wednesday April 6th, 2022 from 9am until 2pm at Walker High School. This event is Sponsored by Gexpro in partnership with the Louisiana Association of General Contractors, Southeast Chapter of the Construction Finance Management Association and Walker High School.

We would like to invite general contractors, engineers, architects, real estate developers, program managers, city of councils, city planners, students, families and educators to come and attend Bridging the Gap Expo. Subcontractors are the force that is building America today! They build America and the things America needs: clinics, schools, shopping centers, grocery stores, etc. We must capture the imagination of our young people and show them how much more is available through construction.

Attendees can come and go in an open house style throughout the event. Walker High School Students will partner with ASA member companies to produce a video or physical scale model presentation in a science fair style exhibit complete with categories to be adjudicated by the attendees.

Admission is free and attendees are encouraged to vote on which projects meet Best Social Media, Most Innovative, Best Teamwork and Best in Show categories for the scholarship winners. Winners in each category will receive scholarship monies for pursuits in trades/construction career training. Other member companies will be exhibiting their companies in a trade show style exhibit.

Being a part of the ASA organization means quality and experience….let us show you!
