50 year club logo

Do you know a long-time newspaper person who needs to be honored? A publisher? A carrier? Maybe a stringer?

The Louisiana Press Association is accepting nominations for the 50-Year-Club, either online or by downloading a pdf and emailing or mailing completed form to the LPA.

LPA's 50-Year Club is an effort to honor and recognize men and women in our state who have 50 years or more cumulative professional affiliation with newspapers and news websites, including ties to Louisiana.

Affiliation can include time other than as a full-time employee. Work as a carrier or delivery person, as a stringer, or free-lance writer, for the college paper, or full or part-time work in any aspect of a newspaper or news website's operation can count towards the 50 years.

You can nominate someone through an online form or by downloading a pdf and submitting it.

Last year’s inductee was Braxton “B.I” Moody III, chairman of Louisiana State Newspapers.
