LPA's
Cooperative Endeavor Program What is the LPA Cooperative Endeavor Program? The Louisiana Cooperative Endeavor Program consists of an agreement between LPA and two state entities – The Department of Culture, Recreation and Tourism, or LCRT, and the Governors Office of Homeland Security, or GOHSEP. In these programs, LPA distributes PSAs on a weekly and monthly basis to all member publications, which, in turn, run the PSAs and send tearsheets to LPA for tracking purposes. Both programs are very important to the success of LPA. Because of the grants provided to LPA to coordinate this service for the two entities, dues are kept low, and additional funds are available for educational seminars and other member benefits. LPA is asking for your assistance in helping make the LPA Cooperative Endeavor Program a success. GOHSEP Cooperative Endeavor Program The Louisiana Press Association has a three-year agreement with the Governor’s Office of Homeland Security, or GOHSEP, to place cooperative advertising concerning Hazard Mitigation in Louisiana publications. Insertion orders for the 2 column x 5” PSAs are sent on a weekly basis to all publications. LPA asks that publications commit to running at least two PSAs per week in order for the association to meet the criteria of the agreement. In addition to the 2x5 PSAs, publications are asked to run one 2x2 PSA per week as part of the 2x2 Network weekly insertion. If you wish to begin participating in the 2x2 Network, please contact LPA for more details.
LCRT Tourism Cooperative Endeavor Program LPA has also renewed its agreement with the Louisiana Department of Culture, Recreation and Tourism through its advertising agency to run PSAs. Each month insertion orders for the “Your Louisiana” PSAs, as well as PSAs for the CODOFIL series, are sent to all publications. LPA asks that publications commit to running at least two ads per week in order for the association to meet the criteria of the agreement.
